JENNY GUEMMER – Jenny is a life-long singer and lover of all kinds of music. She studied private voice and piano and attended American River College and San Jose State University, majoring in vocal music. She has trained with Christopher Bello, Joseph Frank, Jacquie Victorino, and the late Perla Warren. She also has a music teaching credential and has taught all ages and levels. Jenny has directed high school, middle school, and church choirs and has sung with community choruses, such as the San Jose Choral Project and the Sacramento Master Singers. She also has a private voice and piano studio, and enjoys spending time with her husband, Scott, and their two boys.
OWEN MYERS- Born in Georgia, raised in England, Mississippi and California, Owen Myers is an aspiring singer/songwriter, poet, teacher and actor. He was nominated for 4 Downbeat awards as a member of American River College Vocal Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Art LaPierre and another as a member of the CSUS Jazz Singers under the direction of Kerry Marsh. He has toured regionally with the Katie Jane Band and nationally, with Ives. You can find Owen at Natomas Charter School (3 Elly Award recipient for Music Direction), helping out with the voice classes, accompanying the soloists and vocal groups, music directing the musicals (or creating new ones) teaching private voice lessons and musically leading worship at Christ the King Lutheran Church (Orangevale, CA).
PASTOR SCOTT GUEMMER - Pastor Scott has sung music all of his life. His love for vocal music began with evenings around the piano with his parents and siblings. This love grew through too many hours of listening to Bobby Darin, Tony Bennett, Tower of Power and Earth, Wind & Fire, musical theater productions, various jazz and choral concert performances, solo projects, singing in bars and restaurants, late night singing performances to his kids during sleepless nights, and of course a life-long love of music found within the church. He has been vocally trained by Christopher Bello and Joseph Frank. He is a featured vocalist with the Capitol Pops Concert Band. Pastor Scott Guemmer has been serving Christ the King Lutheran Church (Orangevale, CA) for the last 14 years.
